That is the best ticket, IMO. 538 always has their top analysts including Nate Silver tweeting about important trends and races. Invariably they will pick out things that the mainstream networks have yet to discover.
It can be quite rapid fire at times.
Also, I recommend Steve Schale on twitter, since Florida has two pivotal statewide races that may indicate where we are headed nationally, along with crucial House races in FL-27 and FL-26. Schale is a former Obama state campaign director and an expert in Florida politics. He should provide the early indications of where we are headed in Florida.
I have mentioned many times previously that Steve Schale was the one who first gave the evidence that Donald Trump was likely to win on election night 2016. I will never forget it. Everything was going fine and Schale was upbeat about Hillary winning Florida, based on her margins in huge Democratic counties Miami-Dade and Broward. Then Schale had a cautionary tweet about rural counties in Florida, saying the race would be tighter than he previously indicated, followed by a 20 minute gap between tweets. Imagine what 20 minutes is like on election night. I knew it had to be devastating news. Sure enough, Schale followed with a tweet saying Trump was exceeding recent Republican high water marks in 47 different Florida counties. All the rural counties. They were storming in for Trump in unprecedented raw numbers and percentages of the vote. I gulped and knew the election was essentially over. A trend like that was not going to be isolated to Florida alone. White rural and working class voters were going to dictate this election beyond any projection. It was 8:45 PM.
I'm expecting better news from Schale in Florida this time. But we need to hope he doesn't start reporting 2016 type turnout and percentages in those same rural Florida counties.
