I grew up with moments of A and B choices. [View all]

A would be something like "stop hitting your little sister" and B would be “go to your room”. I remember saying many times that I wanted choice C, which was usually for my sister to do everything my way so I wouldn't have to make hard choices. My parents would explain that it made sense to want that, but that C wasn't one of my choices right now, and that in this moment I had to pick A or B.

If your choice C is not on the ballot today, I am sorry. Please go vote for A or B. You can start working on choice C tomorrow.
