Most increases in health care can be traced back to healthcare administration programs that profit by denying care and coverage and clinics and hospitals that are forced to make up those costs by increasing the rate for everyone else.
'Non-sustaiable' in this case suggests that we consider this something other than government program. And by the way, we sort of do pay into it as a society through taxation, which does put us all in the same group. It is private insurance that leeches off the money that ought to be going towards healthcare and treatment. It is that system that is ultimately unsustainable as it demands a continual maximization on quarterly rate of return on profits. This means that to continue profitability they need to either increase fees and premiums or cut services. If it a public-private mix like medicare part D than thsi is where the problems really start getting intense.
