16. The state flipped from RW loon control to Democratic sane control

Doesn't matter whether there was an incumbent in there or not. The fact that LePage won TWICE (and couldn't run a 3rd time) means that whoever was voting in Maine was voting for a crazy-ass (R).

NOW the people of Maine have awoken and didn't select another (R)... Which might not bode well for Susan Collins (whether she tries to run for her Senate seat again in 2020 OR if she considers running for Governor there down the road - one of the options that kept coming up for her for 2022).

And as a sidenote not really mentioned much but Angus King swept himself back into office without any drama.
