The bullshit media has been trying to downplay what happened and notably, by merely looking at Congress and governors.

One of the things politically-active Democrats wanted to see was for the party to focus on having an impact up and down the ballot (not unlike the "50 state strategy&quot . I.e., our state governments, many of which were seized in the 2010 teabagger assault, needed to be clawed back one seat at a time. This meant massive grassroots organization and the help of many - whether through volunteering or providing funds. The result is what we saw yesterday.

The problem I have with their analysis however, was right at the end -

Note: Shifts do not include districts in Pennsylvania because of redistricting.




That "redistricting" allowed Democrats in PA to gain 4 more seats (including Lamb's). That blue shift WAS part of "the wave" because really, those seats could have gone to Republicans too (none of the seats were uncontested) and that data should have been included.
