In reply to the discussion: States running elections [View all]MineralMan
(150,509 posts)30. It is up to the citizens in each state to fix their state's system.
Are they working on that? If not, why not?
Most state's election systems are OK. Some are outstanding. A few suck. So sue in federal court if you live in one of the sucky states.
Don't impose some system that is untested on the rest of the states. Fix the broken ones. Only the people in those states can file that lawsuit. They're the only ones with standing. So, why don't they do that?
One person can file such a lawsuit. The ACLU would be happy to help, I'm sure.
So, the ball's in those state's courts.
Leave my state alone. Its elections work just fine. In fact, Minnesota would be happy to act as a model.
In which state do you live?

My voting place was less than 100 feet from my house and took less than 10 minuts in Minnesota :D

50 separate elections is harder to manipulate or hack than 1 single election.
