(21,836 posts)32. Here is my problem with state control of elections if you'll indulge me for a minute.
If we had left Civil Rights up to the states, I would bet half of them would still not have those civil rights. The voting age is federalized and individual states should not have an option on identification either. Yes, I agree that the states should enforce the laws, but not write them.
Just too many rednecks out there in too many states. (and the most extreme ones do pay an inordinate amount of attention to politics).
I will leave it at that.
BTW... I live in Colorado. Raised in Chicago

50 separate elections is harder to manipulate or hack than 1 single election.
