At $1000/hr the 10 unis in AZ, FL, GA, listed below endorse nearly $1/2 MIL/DAY in GOP messaging and are good places to protest Trump, Republicans, voter suppression, recount resistance, and to get Mueller’s back.

The GOP uses those radio stations to create buzz and media and generate the outrage in their base to try to intimidate and enable election officials and judges, etc.

If the GOP paid $1000/hr to sell voter suppression or fight to prevent recounts in those states, each station x 15 hrs = $15,000 x 37 stations = $555,000/DAY, FREE media.

88 American universities endorse 260 Limbaugh stations, worth about $1BIL/yr.

Those Limbaugh stations depend on those universities and would have a lot harder time attracting advertisers if the schools were pushed to rethink their associations with those stations. The local GOP would freak out merely at the suggestion of such a discussion starting. That’s what protests would do. Media would cover it, and they would immediately feel the threat of the possibility of advertisers fleeing.

Protesting those universities is a direct threat to local/state GOP advertising and messaging and a unique and different way Democrats in those states can go on the offensive in defense of their candidates.

For example, the Republican blowhards on the state-loud Limbaugh station in NM, KKOB, are using the 1PM MT 11/8/18 show after Limbaugh to suggest along with callers that Xochitl Torres Small, the Dem winner of the NM 2nd district congressional seat, is illegitimate because there were 8000 ballots found at the last minute, they were made up by the Dem clerk in the Dona Ana county, they were found in a car, etc.

And there’s a suggestion that ‘there’s a rumor’ that the Republican candidate Yvette Herrell thinks the election was stolen from her and the talkers suggest maybe she, her lawyers, or the NM GOP should make a case out of it. Yvette Herrell was one of at least 14 Republican state candidates who got free friendly interview time on KKOB recently. Steve Pierce, who gave up that seat and lost the governors race was a regular on the station.

And so on.

That GOP messaging reaches 10s of thousands of people in NM. That’s the Trump base as well as many just trying to get some weather and traffic etc. Just because it’s the clearest, loudest signal in the state.

Even if there is nothing there a couple of Republican jerks with a big megaphone, who claim global warming is a hoax, are using public airwaves and rumors and the UNM Lobos to delegitimize Torres Small, the new congresswoman for the 2nd District of NM.

UNM is a good place to protest, too.

That’s the kind of stuff coming out of Republican radio stations all over the states where recounts are going on or need to be. Unlike Fox TV all that can be locally coordinated and RW talk radio has been shown to use paid callers.

Those stations are used by GOP and its think tanks to blast out anything they want to make up. They can direct that outrage to individuals or groups who are particularly troublesome.

They learned that it worked great back in 2000 in Florida when it comes to elections. Those radio stations played a big part in selling the pretext for electronic voting machines (made by Republicans) to save money, time, and eliminate chads, etc. And for the better part of 20 years they're been very successful selling the pretext for voter ID and other forms of voter suppression - to keep invading 'illegal' aliens from voting for Democrats.

In NM KKOB broadcasts sports for the University of NM Lobos even though everything the station does is antithetical to the interests of the university, faculty, and students.

The 88 universities endorsing/supporting 260 Limbaugh stations need to be asked if they would still broadcast on those stations if the KKK bought them.
