(60,991 posts)If Pence has problems, he will likely be replaced first as Agnew was. It would be interesting who would replace him, because as with Ford, the Senate knows it may well be giving consent to the next President by confirming him/her.
That said, if it could happen I think Nancy Pelosi, a brilliant politician who was able to break the glass ceiling as Speaker of a mostly male house would be an excellent First President. I also have a feeling that with the magnifying glass that comes with the Presidency, many might be surprised by what they actually see -- as opposed to the completely ridiculous stereotype. That the stereotype hasn't actually worked all that well, look at the fact that she has a good favorability rating compared to her Republican peers.
