In reply to the discussion: Michael Avenatti Arrested for felony domestic violence [View all]elocs
(24,486 posts)221. If we hold to an accusation automatically means guilty, then Avenatti is through.
But you'd reckon that in today's atmosphere concerning abuse of women by men that he would be smart enough to realize that.
When I read: "We're told during today's confrontation the woman ran out of the apartment building and was on the sidewalk on her cellphone with sunglasses covering her eyes, screaming on the phone, "I can't believe you did this to me."" it sounds suspiciously like a set-up to me.
I am reminded of the part in the "Dirty Harry" movie where the psychopath pays to have himself beaten up so he could blame Dirty Harry for it. Could be some variation of that here, but just the accusation makes it tough for Avenatti.

Well, that's it for him if the report is true. If she hit him first, he should have responded

The feds were already investigating Cohen *before* Avenatti sued on behalf of Daniels.

I'll give Avenatti credit for being a skillful media manipulator.
