Noodles (Robert DeNiro) violently rapes not one, but two women in this film, and I'm supposed to feel sympathy for him at the end? That's just bad storytelling.

"Deborah's Theme" is arguably Ennio Morricine's finest hour. It's so beautiful, it hurts.
