That could be failure to check the origin and truth of the story.
It would be accurate to report that he was arrested. However, my recollection is that TMZ gave additional details that the complaining party looked battered. That wasn't the term they used but that was the idea. If they failed to check that, then that would be reckless disregard for the truth.
