I'm well aware that someone on the internet used a totally unrelated photo and claimed that it was the supposed victim.

Was that photo released by the police? You know... the ones who announced that "the victim had visible injuries"?

That's the problem with the whole "the whole thing is fiction" spin. Police don't arrest someone on an anonymous tip with a reused internet photo attached.

It's possible that someone paid a woman to seduce him, move in with him, and then fake her own abuse and call the cops. But it isn't possible that it's just some internet hoax and there isn't even a real person involved. The police would have to be in on it in that case... and that's a conspiracy theory too far.
