The Attorney General Succession Act makes this crystal clear. Rod Rosenstein is the ONLY legal successor to Sessions. It is beyond absurd for the RW to assume that the country's highest law enforcement official does not require Senate confirmation.

trmp made the ludicrous statement that Mueller hadn't been confirmed to be special prosecutor by the Senate. Well, yeah, because he doesn't NEED to be confirmed. And there are those who remind us that Mueller has been confirmed in the past - as the sixth Director of the FBI.

Finally, google this - the article from Laurence Tribe, one of America's foremost constitutional scholars, on Whitaker's appointment.
