1) Rejected (i.e. ballots that were sent in but never counted) rates for absentee ballots were 40% in Bladen County and 62% in Robeson County. Each of the other 6 counties in District 9 had rejection rates of less than 27%. That seems to be consistent with the fact that, whereas the other 6 counties all demonstrated a far higher percentage of Democratic votes than Election Day ballots -- 24% for the whole District, even including Bladen and Robeson counties -- Bladen and Robeson Counties demonstrated a higher Republican percentage (8% and 6%), compared to Election Day ballots in those counties. This suggests missing Democratic absentee votes from those counties. That all could be explained if it was found that ballots with Democratic votes were selectively rejected.
2) Remarkably, absentee ballots that were accepted in Bladen County were 19% from Republicans, 42% from Democrats, and 39% from unaffiliated voters, even though those very same ballots leaned Republican by a 24% margin over Democrat votes. That too could be explained by selective rejection of Democratic votes, regardless of Party affiliation.
3) The overall absentee ballot rate in Bladen County was 7.3%, compared to an average of 3.7% for District 9, in which 6 of the 8 counties demonstrated rates of 2.8 or lower.
4) There were 1,675 absentee ballots that were rejected in Bladen and Robeson Counties combined, plenty enough to tip the election had they been counted.
