2. my first memory of Repubs was Nixon. They've been all assholes, all the time, to me.

But I did grow up in a very liberal family in New England - my grandparents, parents very liberal. To us, republicans were nothing but selfish hypocrites. The story hasn't changed...well it has, really - they've somehow only gotten worse.
