They are secular holiday songs. I particularly dislike "Silent Night" because as it is sung it inevitably gets slower and slower, and in most cases flatter and flatter, and by the end it sounds like an out-of-tune dirge. I do like the version of "O Little Town of Bethlehem" with the tune written by Ralph Vaughan Williams (the better-known one also gets slow and flat).
