83. No. I liked him before. I like him now. For a Republican, he was one of the better ones.

I liked the way he handled Desert Storm. I liked how he bucked the Republican pressure not to raise taxes to fund programs to help the citizens. I liked how he signed environmental laws and cared about that issue (not enough, IMO, but you're talking about a Republican).

He volunteered for the military, when, as a rich kid, he could have taken the easier path to riches.

Politicians have to say and do things, in order to win. So none of them is totally on the up and up when campaigning. But I think he was one of the good ones. Not my ideology, but that's why there are two major parties.
