They face a high bar to pass. They did not do much to oppose their church for Prop 8. So I take them with a grain of salt.
Also, with Mormons my age and older, knowing that they adhered to and preached to others deeply racist dogmas made up by some guy in Ohio is damn hard to forget and really should not be forgotten, and if those who did that seek redemption, they are the last ones that should want it forgotten....they, Mitt among them, were missionaries teaching racist crap to the world, and that's not nothing if you ask me.
