18. What the GOP does is stick its head in the sand.

They'll continue to hope to win if Democrats shoot themselves in the foot....and lets be honest, we do that a lot. The right wing doesn't think for themselves and buy the bullshit every time so they know they have that to rely on.

The way I see it, the GOP has three or four more election cycles where they can rely on the graying, bigots and racist base....and the current crop of politicians will ride it out hoping they can take advantage if we fuck up.

Some, like McConnell do see the writing on the wall, he's doing what John Adams did when the Federalists were about to go permanently out of power, pack the courts that will leave their influence for at least a generation. He knows that should the GOP survive, it will evolve and won't even resemble the party he knows.
