15. I have no pain but that's me

My body is such that opioids don't work and I get little pain. That said, a few things to know-
1. There will be some discomfort as they are cutting through muscle and bone. Some people have horrific pain, some have none. My right knee was 100% painless with little swelling, my left one has bad swelling.
2. Ice is your friend. Your only friend. Apply liberally. Lather rinse repeat. I mean it.
3. Suck it up but force yourself to full extension and bending 110 degrees or more. You have a window of days. Don't blow it complaining about pain.
4. Let your body be your guide. Pain is good, horrible pain is not. Listen to your inner voice.

It's not without complications but when you need it, you'll be glad.

Good luck

Paula
