9. Informed rational people "knew" all those things

But I'm not so sure about those who are still in the Trump voting base. Some undoubtedly know all the egregiously deplorable attributes of this POtuS and want to burn everything down, but others (perhaps the majority) simply "believe" -- throwing inconvenient truths down the memory hole while embracing Orwellian doublethink.

They've been conditioned for decades by Faux News and are incapable of admitting to themselves how deeply they've been conned.
