Filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi had high praise for her mother's negotiating skills on Wednesday during an interview with CNN, warning that Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) would "cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding.”

In an interview on "New Day," the younger Pelosi was asked about her thoughts about her mother's shutdown discussions with President Trump ahead of the president's meeting with congressional leaders on Wednesday at the White House.

“She’ll cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding,” Alexandra Pelosi said of the likely incoming House speaker. "No one ever won betting against Nancy Pelosi. You've got to give her credit, no matter what you think of her."

Pointing to her mother's longstanding House service through several presidencies, Pelosi added to the CNN anchors that it should "make you sleep at night" that "at least somebody in this town know's what they're doing."
