8. She's "The Franchise" Now...

Rachel is the best in handling the many things that go into election coverage. Her radio background serves her real well here...moving from one reporter to another to one guest to another and keeping all the people at the table in the mix. I was very impressed how she handled this.

She's in that role cause she's become the face of the network...the one with the highest ratings and the best reputation among all in the network. I found her rapport with the "old timers" like Brokaw and even Tweety as less strained than when KO was handling this role. While she was able to meander in and out of a lot of different locations, she did bore the Iowa Sec. of State a fourteenth asshole about that state's new restrictive voting laws...and did it with a smile.

Ed doesn't play well with others...and you could see him doing the slow burn all evening long. Methinks he's used to having the spotlight to himself...
