In reply to the discussion: Let Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez Speak [View all]ucrdem

and he's rising fast:

I'm thrilled to pieces. But he would be road kill in the rear view if he did any of this stuff we're all supposed to be thrilled about. Here's an excerpt from the article which is behind an annoying paywall:
As Aguilar heads into the next session, which starts Jan. 3, he will be part of a Democratic majority that will control the House of Representatives for the first time in his four-year tenure in congress. Aguilar also is expected to be Chief Deputy Whip, giving him and residents of the 31st District a seat at the leadership table.
Still, its not a guarantee to creating legislation. Aguilar and the rest of the Democratic House will need support from conservatives to get bills through the Republican-controlled Senate and signed by the Republican president.
New laws for the 31st District
Over the two-year congressional session, Aguilar introduced 11 bills, three of which were signed into law by President Donald Trump.
Despite being in the minority party, I was able to work to get things done to help the region out, Aguilar said.

The laws he got passed are job-creation bills for vets and a scholarship program for students of color, also a post-office rename, which I guess makes him a socialist.

I don't care if she speaks her mind, as long as it doesn't undermine Pelosi.
