68. Why should the Dems only care about the debt?

I don't want the Dems to fall for Jude Wanniski's two santa clause theory. He thought that if Republicans cut taxes and ballooned the deficit then complain about the deficit when Dems are in power than they could be Santa and the Dems would be hamstrung and incapable of doing anything to help people when they are in power.

I frankly don't care about the deficit. I care actual issues like health care, transforming the economy to green energy and taking power away from the oligarchs in this country. If it raises the debt then too bad. The debt won't matter if the world can't deal with climate change anyways.
