8. Why are folks deliberately trying to blur this distinction?

There is a difference between opposing marriage equality in the early aughts and calling people who supported it "a small group pf homosexual activists" and endorsing conversion therapy. By 2004 most of DU was for marriage equality. I was forever whatever could pass. Thank God for SCOTUS.
