76. I don't need a welcome to the big city. I was born in Brooklyn (Bed Stuy) and moved to Queens....

...at about 8 years old, just a mile from what is now the 14th District. I've seen it all and I know New Yorkers. Maybe that's why when I see stuff like this I take it personally.

I really DID grow up with a working class background, and I DO know what it's like to struggle to get ahead. In almost 50 years of working at several jobs I never walked into any of them thinking I knew more than my superiors, nor did I ever try to undercut any of my peers.

Period.
