(34,214 posts)108. That was true where I grew in NJ/NY, but not true now in some places.
When my son was five I toured some local Catholic schools in south Georgia and they were much more evangelical than I expected.
I attributed it to them having to compete with evangelical Protestant schools, but it could be a national trend.
I don't think schools like St Petes in Jersey City or Don Bosco in Bergen County would send their boys to march in pro-life demonstrations back in my day.
