6. Their logic is so screwed up they have to say absurd things

If abortion is illegal except in cases of rape, women will lie about being raped. Desperate women do desperate things.

They don't want women having abortion, they don't want innocent men to have false rape charges placed against them, so they have to make a choice as to which is more important - women being forced to have babies from rape, or abortion being legal.

They've made their choice so they have to try to make it sound less horrifying.
