12. Possums suffer terrible in the Winter

We love them in our yard, they eat ticks like crazy and clean up any mess as well as keep mice away. They’ve made their way to Michigan, but they are no equipped for Winters here. Local experts determine their age by how much frostbite is in their tails and feet.
