The post youre replying to illustrates the typical Americans lack of awareness of any other culture outside their own.
The word has a slightly different connotation in the UK and is pronounced differently as well. Its used commonly by both men and women in Britain.
But because Americans think their culture is the most important and only one in the world that truly matters the American definition is the true definition. Its not a word I use in conversation in America but given this post is about British reaction to Drumpf it is perfectly appropriate.
