But they found something hotter, and closer to home, Venezuela. It would be near impossible to invade N Korea, as China would no doubt step in. Plus the sticky problem of their nukes being used. So a splashy hollow summit would be the most they could do. But Venezuela just kind of fell into their lap. As Ron Burgundy said, "that escalated quickly". An invasion is more possible in that country. And they now have the fascist ally in Brazil now who would no doubt let them use their landing strips. Hence the reason Bolton is pivoting from N Korea to Venezuela.
