IMO the PTB knows that we on the left are sensitive to the rights of women and so set him up with a BS rape charge for that very reason to make it harder to defend him. It is similar to how the PTB's propagandists call criticisms of "Free Trade" racist and xenophobic. They know exactly how to divide us and make us squirm.
