What's it called on my part, (my being) on DU hours every day, supposedly "up" on things, yet it took the hit job on DiFi to make me aware of the "Justice Democrats." Bernie and AOC didn't bother me, (I) have even liked a lot how AOC drives the Faux Propaganda Network more nuts than they are. (they) Don't "bother me" because I've always believed that our Big Tent already includes all the idealism that our even-purer members can bring.
But the ploy on DiFi struck home with me. At 72 I've been through the few-but-always-there wing that is *more* fired up, always for the Latest-Thing, more idealistic, purer, better than all of the rest of us. My own generation was laudable for anti-Vietnam, but also with our delusion that we could throw humanity's past out and make everything up like nothing and nobody before.
Yeah, we were right about one sliver of things (how wrong our country was about Vietnam), but we were wrong in our arrogance about other things.
So our Purist Idealist wing has always been with us and it is part of us, a beautiful part of us, but always with that arrogance we've got, always telling us that our Democratic agenda ain't good enough.
Here's our Democratic agenda: Civil Rights; social justice; civil liberties; caretaking the planet. Why ain't that good enough (not a question).
So my generation had its animus towards the military (McGOVERN hid his military excellent record when it might have helped). Then the ones who liked Hugo CHAVEZ, and the Greens and the NADER. And now come the Justice Democrats. And the hit job on DiFi hit home for me who have seen this too often in my 72 years. No, dear Justice-ites, you aren't the first or the last of everything, and you gave yourselves away by posting that your answer is "new leadership." New leadership will always come, but in the short run you are throwing valued leaders out in favor of the troglodyte Repukes, setting yourselves back by generations. It's always about draining away our best chances to win.
We're big enough for everybody.

Justice Democrats is an American progressive political action committee[3][4] founded on January 23, 2017, by Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk, Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, and former leadership from the 2016 Bernie Sanders presidential campaign. Uygur and Kulinski are no longer affiliated with the group. Alexandra Rojas became executive director of the organization in January 2017. The organization formed as a result of the 2016 United States presidential election and has a stated goal of reforming the Democratic Party by running "a unified campaign to replace every corporate-backed member of Congress" and rebuild the Democratic Party from "scratch" starting in the 2018 congressional midterm elections.[5][6]
Justice Democrats describes its views as being held by most Americans, but deemed "politically impossible" by the current political establishment because of systemic political corruption.[7][8] They comment that as all campaigns need donations and that candidates who hold policies viewed as unfavorable by corporate interests and wealthy individuals will be denied funding by corporations. Therefore the system actually ends up forcing politicians to change their policies to suit the current business environment.[9][10]
In the 2018 elections, 26 of the 79 candidates endorsed by Justice Democrats won their respective primary elections. Seven of these candidates won in the general election: Raúl Grijalva, Ro Khanna, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Pramila Jayapal. ... ....
