Look at the tactics.

As long as we're fretting only about stupid shit like Chick-Fil-A, the fine folks we're talking about will cheer us on, pat us on the backs for being good Democrats.

But when we start talking about Julian Assange, or Occupy, waaaaaait a minute, that's not part of the program... And a large group of "loyal opposition" comes out, starts pooh-poohing, demoralizing, flaming, accusing supporters of being bad liberals that support misogyny/communism/anarchism/lawlessness, trying to stir up the idea that these ideas are toxic, controversial, divisive.

But of course, don't you know, there are no psy-ops, astroturfing or trolling on DU. Accusing fellow DUers of these acts or impugning their motives violates the norms of decorum and comity, because didn't you know, DU's just one big happy fucking family!
