The Republicans have been rolling Democrats for decades and now Millennials are starting to enter Congress with a completely alien mindset, backing the few older statesmen-women that have been firebrands, and folks just do not know how to deal with it. Democrats aren't on their backs, exposing their soft bellies and whimpering submissively? They're actively fighting back as a Party not just scattered individuals? What? Even on the left we've seen people (even in this thread) who simply cannot fathom that there are different ways of meeting Republican smears and lies other than "turning the other cheek" ...so it can get punched too. You *can* punch back. Harder and with the backing facts and sincerely-held views (sometimes you will be well-meaning but embarrassingly clumsy in how you state them re:Omar). Pelosi and other established members have been struggling, trying to balance their life-long experiences with what the new blood is bringing in, but this session of Congress has quickly shown that together ...They've Got This.
