Can we just, for once, play the long game? [View all]

You know, I want Trump impeached, flogged, thrown into jail, pelted with poo, and kept in solitary w/o access to Twitter, Daughter-Wife, orange make-up, and McDonalds. And the rest of what I want is bannable and would get both me and Atrios in serious trouble, but I am a Witch who believes that a Witch who cannot hex cannot heal and I CAN, in fact, heal, so I'll just leave that bit for your imagination. I want him impeached with the heat of ten thousand suns. But Pelosi has a point. She counts votes. That's what she does. It's who she is. And at this point Trump: (1) can't get impeached thanks to the Senate, and winning an impeachment battle will make him look "strong" to his cult and, (2) is a wounded beast that Pelosi may as well keep stabbing between now and next year. Can we just, for once, play the long game?
