I was on the JPR for over a year and found it a very pleasant place. Certainly HRC was not a popular character, but I never noted anything to the extent which you describe. I only left because it was such a slow loading page and I found that technical issue to be very irritating when trying to read threads.

I found the disagreements to be mostly about policy and folks wanting more progressive stances on issues than was being offered by the Democratic Party at the time. Everyone is entitled to their viewpoints and how anyone chose to vote is up to them. I voted for HRC because I seriously disliked The "Esteemed" Mr Trump and thought him to be the worst of the two candidates offered.
