The average Trump voter was above the median income and had at least some college education. There is a wider spread among the demographic but studies into people who voted for Trump reveal that the "uneducated poor" claim was not accurate.
Also, education and money is not necessarily a guarantee that a person has critical thinking skills. If you see, most of the wealthiest people in the US are very conservative because they support the status quo which is White people with money being in charge. They are the ones who purvey the propaganda to the masses and who count on enough motivated White people who do not have the resources, to support them to maintain political power.
