9. Texas has also curtailed companies' obligations in other ways

Companies are no longer required to report to the state any of the hazardous chemicals they may be storing or handling. I think they still have to maintain a log, but Texas has something like four inspectors for the entire state to check on that record-keeping. Breathe easy, Texas; at least you know you're free.
