my previous rep, Elizabeth Esty, resigned when it was discovered that her chief of staff regularly sexually harassed people under him and she failed to investigate the allegations against him.

Esty was a moderate Democrat in a moderate district, so it was nice that Hayes seems at least a little bit more liberal than Esty, though she came into office on the heels of Esty leaving
