(6,116 posts)12. I think the actual title of that article should be: Trump Tax Cut Cuts Taxes For ALL Billionaires...
"Trump Tax 'Cut' Cuts Taxes For ALL Billionaires, While INCREASING Taxes For 10,000,000 REGULAR Families."
That would be a more accurate headline, and it was the point of the Tax Scam in the first place. To give BILLIONAIRES a TAX CUT, AT THE EXPENSE of regular families. In fact, that's the Republican Party's only remaining raison d'etre. That was their method in 1981 with the FIRST Reagan tax scam. Re-distribution of the tax burden FROM the wealthy to the poor. And it's STILL their method.
The main difference was that when they did the first tax scam in 1981 everybody KNEW it was a Faustian bargain. That the general public would give the wealthy a FREE RIDE on taxes, as long as they took their spare money, and used it to create jobs by investing in American companies.
That philosophy has now morphed into the dogmatic belief that the wealthy are SUPERIOR to regular people, and simply DESERVE a free ride. And they no longer use their extra wealth to create jobs by investing in American companies. They invest in Chinese companies that are dedicated to putting American companies out of business; and they stash most of their wealth in tax havens, like the Bahamas, to avoid making ANY contribution to the society in which they live.

I can't figure it out. Middle class Whites heavily backed Trump and they seem the most impacted.

Hopefully it was only a temporary reprieve for them and we regain a clear majority in the Senate.

Since there are 138 million taxpayers, does that mean the remaining 128 million paid same or less?
