(11,949 posts)72. Every trip to Paris for us starts at Notre Dame.
When showing my sister Paris it is where we started. She called in tears.
Even though I am a freethinker we attended a Mass there is 2013 and it is one of the more memorable events I have had.
It will be rebuilt but I may not live to see it done. I hope they establish a fund for it repair. I will give.
Ive felt like crying all afternoon. My wife is depressed. It may be her favorite spot in the world.

This is such sad news, they are fighting hard to save it but one comment on MSNBC was disturbing
