109. I've been through 3 hurricanes (Carla, Alicia, Ike) & 1 tropical storm (Allison) that was horrible
Sat Aug 25, 2012, 08:20 PM
Aug 2012

The first hurricane was Carla even though I was a 9 month old baby. Next it was Hurricane Alicia in August 1983. Was without power for 11 effing days! The second was the most recent Hurricane Ike in September 2008. Had to put up a new roof and fencing and very costly for most SE Texas residences.

The one TS that was the worst I've seen was TS Allison in June 2001. I've seen flooding in this area often but this was the worst flooding I've ever witnessed. Just horrible.
