This kind of attitude does not suggest to me the confidence in oneself typical of thoughtful people who have done their civic duty all along.

WE do not to say “we” will never learn. We talk unhappily about others who fail to vote at all for good and against wrong or to vote wisely and honorably.

And we never, ever mistake the Democratic Party for the Republican Party. That’s for ignorant fools and those who hide from their own guilt by pretending there was never a good choice.

WE know who we are.
