Trump congratulates 49ers pick Nick Bosa who called Kaepernick a 'clown' [View all]
Trump praised Nick Bosa Saturday morning just hours after he was selected as the second overall pick in the NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
“Congratulations to Nick Bosa on being picked number two in the NFL Draft. You will be a great player for years to come, maybe one of the best. Big Talent! San Francisco will embrace you but most importantly, always stay true to yourself. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump tweeted.

Bosa, a defensive end from Ohio State University, has drawn scrutiny in the past for his comments criticizing former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick as a “clown” in 2016 and for other posts that were critical of high-profile African Americans, including Beyonce, Jay-Z, according to NFL.com.
The tweets were reportedly deleted ahead of Thursday's draft, according to ABC 7.
Bosa apologized for the tweets during a news conference with the Bay Area media on Friday.
