someone other than himself.

Trump has a right to be afraid. For two years Mueller has been this omnipresent being, working quietly gathering information that could (will) destroy IQ45. Trump appointed Barr as a firewall against the inevitable report, but for some reason Congress and the public weren't satisfied with a four page letter which essentially said, "Move along folks, nothing to see here." After several weeks of crowing, "No collusion, no obstruction, go ahead and listen to what Mueller has to say, I don't care," he realized that Mueller might not say there wasn't obstruction after all, which is why the Monday freakout.

Mueller is a "just the facts, ma'm" kind of guy, and Trump is terrified by facts -- that's why he lies all the time.

Finally, once the hearing is concluded the Democrats are going to have hours of sound bites to use in 2020 election ads.
