17. I agree: he most likely cheated on his returns

He's a failure as a business man -- he's too narcissistic to succeed because he cannot accept advice from those more savvy than himself. But claiming the huge losses he's claimed would reduce his own tax bill by millions.

So he's stuck in the middle of his lies: his returns either prove his enormous failure in business OR his enormous tax fraud OR both. The Party of Treason, of course, will pooh pooh the reports about his returns, and the media may allow it to slip down the memory hole in a week or so.
