The first step is to go to court to ask the court to issue an preliminary injunction against enforcement of the subpoena.

In this case, Trump's lawyers went to court to request the injunction, but their request was denied. They have now appealed this ruling to the Court of Appeals. That's the matter that will have oral arguments in July.
